Since we had the house ready early today for our company tonight, I thought that I should sit down and do something productive.  I had to sit there and think for a bit, but in the end, I decided to figure out when I was going to take holidays next year.

Though I don’t have a lot of commitments that prevent me from taking the holidays that I desire, this next year was going to be a little different.  I asked for some new tasks at work this past year, so now one of my roles is to man a trade show booth at college job fairs six times during the year.  On one hand it lets me go out an interact with other people outside of the office, on the other hand, working career fairs wasn’t really what I had in mind when I asked for other duties.

At least the job fairs are rather easy, and the hardest part is getting the pop up displays to work properly.  On the bright side of things, at least I don’t usually take my holidays during the months that the students are in college, so my job doesn’t really impair my ability to travel.
