There are so many things that I love about summer including the hot weather, canoeing, and playing outside with the kids. But my favorite thing about summer would have to be all the garage sales that happen every week.

I’ll admit, I am a sucker for a good bargain. So, ever weekend in summer, you will find me out, trying to find the next best deal. Sure, there is a lot of junk out there, but rooting around through the treasures gets me really excited.
For example, this past weekend was a great weekend for deals. I was out on the prowl for some kids Halloween costumes since Halloween is getting closer. Okay, you might call me a little too proactive, but I figured if I could get a good deal, I wouldn’t have to fight with the other mothers looking for their children at the end of October.
I found many different styles at the ten garage sales that I stopped at, and I was able to pick out a mermaid costume for my daughter and a darth vader costume for my son.
I will just have to hide them until Halloween and surprise the kids – I just hope that I will be remember where I put them.
