The health insurance in Florida that I was able to get was a part of a Florida group health insurance policy.  It was provided by my employer as one of the benefits that I was given when I started to work there.  So many different companies today offer health insurance as an added benefit, like vacation days that people are entitled to.  Not everyone realizes that companies are not required to offer their employees health insurance. 

 Health insurance in FL is like health insurance anywhere.  Employer groups can get quotes from different insurance companies that provide different coverage for different things like visits to the doctor to stays in the hospital.    Having a company do the right kind of shopping or research can make the difference between getting a policy with all of the bells and whistle or something that barely covers a normal run of the mill doctor’s appointment.  It is up to the employer to make sure that they do their due diligence and fully lay out what they expect to get and what they will offer to their employees.  Once this is passed onto the employees, you will have a happier, usually more productive employee.
