When I started this job, I loved it.  I was totally in love with it.  The people I work with are upbeat and fun and really nice ladies (with only the occasional male) and I like working as a bank teller.  You get to work with people and for people, and there’s always time to have a quick chat or ask about the family or talk about this news story or that.  It was a socially engaging job.  Lately, however, it hasn’t been a fun place to work at all.  One of my coworker’s debt consolidation loans defaulted, which I didn’t even know could happen, and one of my customer’s houses is being foreclosed on.

I can’t even imagine the panic you must feel when you’re about to lose your home.  People come in every day asking about payday loans and looking to apply for a bad credit credit card, but to be honest, the bank has had to tighten their belt too, and they can’t lend to just anyone anymore.  You have to be a much better candidate that previously, and of course, most people are far worse candidates than previously.  Everyone is worried and stressed and unhappy, and I am just so depressed walking into work every morning, knowing I’ll have to ruin someone’s day later on.
