I have a friend who is a dentist that makes money hand over fist. And he is a really fun guy who has all kinds of toys. He even has a toy hauler that we take to the dunes. And that is exactly where we found ourselves last weekend.

We loaded up his toy hauler Friday morning very early and were riding quads before noon. I have a Polaris Predator and he has a Honda; I think his is the 400 and it will rip up competition hill just like the bigger ones. While we were flying up and down competition hill something happened with him though. I didn’t see exactly what happened, but he went tumbling end over end and he got run over by his quad. He had obviously hurt his wrist, but it didn’t look broken. He was even able to wiggle his fingers a little. We joked about disability insurance on the way to urgent care.

Well it turns out that it was broken very badly. They put in some pins, and the surgeon told him that he will be in a cast a lot longer than the typical six weeks. Fortunately for him he has dentist disability insurance. If he had not looked at disability insurance companies, he would be in a world of hurt right now.
