I work at a print shop, and business has been a little slow lately. So the big boss man called us all together for a little powwow the other day which had a few of us a little nervous. I was honestly afraid that the big axe was about to start flying around, and since I’m usually not the most productive guy around here I thought my head would probably be one that got lopped off.
Fortunately, that wasn’t the case at all. What he wanted was suggestions to help find more business. He basically assigned us all the task of digging up new customers. Well I didn’t have any ideas right off the top of my head, but I did go home that night and really think about it.
Then it dawned on me that since we are a print shop, we could probably throw together some really professional customer satisfaction surveys. Then we just send a customer service survey to each of our past customers. When they get the customer surveys then they see just how much we care about them and then they send us more business. So I suggested it to the boss, and he thought it was brilliant.
